Answers

  1. How long does it take to make the plushies?
Each plushie takes roughly two FULL DAYS of dedicated work. Embroidering the faces and stitching in all the yarn hair by hand is very tedious and take 6ish hours not counting any of the body/clothing machine sewing. However, beings how there's no way I'd have two entire 24-hour periods to work on plushies, they take roughly a week to a month to complete if I feel inspired.

  2. How big are your plushies?
The plushies are all roughly 17 inches tall. This Kitsune plush is next to an 18 inch ruler so you can see the size comparison. This Icys plushie is next to a normal CD, this scraps cat is pictured with my hand, and this Hunter doll is propped in front of my computer desk.

  3. Why do the jeans/denim-pants have a pullstring?
Firstly, they don't make zippers that small, that I can find/afford anyway, to put in a proper fly. To make a point, THE PULLSTRING GOES IN THE BACK. It's purely functional. The plushies and pants vary slightly by size everytime I make them, due to human err and inconsistancy. There's no way to be sure pants with a normal fastenner would fit a plushie properly without the doll in my hands to get the size just right. Pullstrings can be pulled tight for any sized doll. PAJAMA pants are made with an elastic band so the pullstring is purely decorational and goes in the front.

  4. What's your policy on refunds?
If you don't like it, don't pay for it. Every doll I create is photographed and shown for approval before any money is transferred.

  5. What should I do if I buy a plushie and then do something stupid like get dirt or a stain on it?
If it's just a small dirt patch, I recommend Shout Wipes. They work wonders on stains. Try washing by hand in the sink with NON-BLEACH color safe laundry detergent if you don't have the wipes. If you decide you MUST use the washing machine, set it on the weakest setting and allow to air dry. I'm not privvy to the use of a clothing-washer majig, so I can't tell you the specifics. (G-mom does my laundry :3 ) DO NOT put it through the dryer or the fluff inside will clump. If you are washing a Hunter doll, remove his pipe-cleaner antennae and then re-insert it when he's dry. They'll just get tangled and broken if they spin around in the wash.

  6. How do you do the faces? Are they drawn on?
The faces are hand-stiched with embroidery floss. They are sewn on, not drawn with marker or painted.

  7. OH NO! I cuddled with the plushie I bought from you and now I have hives/rash/cough/allergies. What the heck?
You're allergic to cats, aren't you? My apologies. You may want to run your plush through the washing machine to remove any hair that could have been picked up from my constantly shedding long-hair grey tabby Majin Twikky. I love her much and she lives in my room to hide from my sister's evil dog Caliope. Beings how all my plushie making materials are kept in my bedroom where I do all my sewing, it's impossible to completely avoid cat hair contact. I truly am sorry to aggitate your allergies. Please don't die.

  8. Do you know of any other custom plushie websites?
I know of a couple. Though I really wish you would buy from me, if my style is not to your liking there is nothing I can do but spread the plushie love in another direction. Please take a look at my Links Page. There are also an ever growing amount of plushie creators on DeviantART so try checking through the Artisan Crafts --- Textiles --- Plushies section.

  9. What references would you need for an Original Character?
I need at least one full body image to show the complete outfit. Plus close-ins to any specific details such as tattoos or markings. Or a REALL REALLY good written description. The less details you give, the less I know. I can't be accurate if I wasn't shown/told what it's supposed to look like. If I have a question about certain details, I may sketch it out first and ask you to clarify.

  10. If I order a plushie and don't like it, what could I do? Would I have to pay for clothes the first time?
You don't pay for anything you don't recieve. I will contact you before I begin your plushie. I will then contact you when your plushie is complete and show you a photograph of the completed plushie. I do not accept any payment until after completion. If you are unhappy with what you see in the photo, you simply do not pay and I will not mail it to you.

  11. First, do you do custom Anthropomorphic Plushies? Second, how much would it cost to make an anthropomorphic plushie if it is available?
I have not yet made an anthro plushie. I do not have a working pattern to make a 3-d muzzle. If you do not mind the fact that it will be a flat stitched on face, and that I will use coloured fabric not fur, then yes I do anthropomorphic aka furry plushies. They cost the same as an original character.

  12. What do you need to put my own style face on a plushie?
I'll need a face reference. Black and white lineart with colour provided seperately. The face must fit into a 2 inch high by 2 1/2 inch wide circular form. It can be a little less than those measurements on either side, but not larger or it won't fit on the plushie. I will resize if the face reference is the wrong dimensions, but then it may get warped.

  13. If I wanted to get more clothes for an anthro plushie would you be able to do them WITH OUT him being there? After all he would have a tail and the ears!
Unless ordering a hat (which are a pain, I don't like doing them even without earholes), the ears wouldn't be invloved in clothing. Wings are the biggest issue with a completely seperate and complicated shirt pattern. A tail would be fine since the pants are made with a pullstring in the back. It actually leaves a little openning that's in the right place for a tail. SO TO ANSWER THE QUESTION POINT BLANK: no, I would not need your doll in my hands to make clothes to fit around ears and a tail.
